“Queens, Kings and Dastardly Things” is a new podcast that delves into royal scandals, past and present.
Without being limited by historical period or geography, the podcast uncovers stories from long ago, such as the Nepal Genocide, and traces royal history across six centuries.
The show will be hosted by fellow royal enthusiasts Kate Williams and Robert Hardman, who have a combined experience of over 40 years, have written 20 historical novels and produced several hit documentaries.
As well as taking us through a bit of royal history each week, Kate and Robert will also try to answer a central question in each episode. Confirmed themes for the 10-part series include:
Did Mary, Queen of Scots murder her husband? Did a grieving Queen Victoria secretly marry a servant? James II and the false heir scandal! Was the Russian Revolution really caused by a lustful woman?
The first episode of DMG Media's Queens, Kings and Dastardly Things will be available on all podcast platforms from Wednesday, August 7th.
