Labor MP Sian James hired an intimidating mob to intimidate people attending my lecture in Swansea on the causes of suicide among young people in South Wales. Police and Swansea District Council attempted to shut down the venue. why?
On Thursday 26 January 2012, with Swansea Labor MP Sian James and a roaring and menacing mob outside, I gave a presentation titled “Are our children safe? Examining politics and suicide risk''. With the help of detailed research by local South Wales residents who are extremely concerned about the risk of suicide among their children, my talk explored the causes of suicide among young people in Bridgend and South Wales. My audience, which included men and women, whites and blacks, people of faith and non-faith, listened to me talk about suicide, political and media reactions, and the neuro-linguistic programming that affects children and young people. I was once visibly shocked when I exposed the hidden dangers of contradictions in NLP sources. Local authorities were desperate to stop the talks, with Swansea Council and police trying to bully the venue, Samlet Social Club, into leaving. Bravely they did not.
