Grace Cordell from Redrum and Stuart Blues from British Murders are working together to develop the latest serialization podcasts distributed by the newly launched Mercury Network.
Details of the new podcast are still wrapped, but it brings true crime podcasters into a new genre, while still remaining true to the themes they are known to. This series is scheduled for this summer.
Mercury was released by Liam Heffernan in February and distributed on behalf of an independent podcast. However, true to her commitment to being in control with the creator, Grace will own the new show and all IPs entirely.
Grace Cordell said: I kept this show in mind for a while, but wanted to wait for the right collaborators to get it aligned to really elevate the idea and make it really special.
“I've known Stu for years and I knew what legal power he was, so it makes sense to ask him to co-host Season 1.
“When Liam approached me about mercury, it felt like a perfect fit. He understands what it means to be an independent podcast, and his experience, knowledge and true to the show. The enthusiasm means knowing it's at Mercury's home. I couldn't be more excited to be part of a team that really values content and creators.”
Liam Heffernan adds: They represent everything we are as a network. It defends the world's best independent podcasts and creators. They're two, and I'm sure their new show will be a huge hit.
“The following year, Mercury will partner with more talent to develop and launch brand new shows on the network. We're just getting started!”
