Linking service Podfollow has launched Podfollow Charts, a new feature that allows users to track the Apple Podcasts and Spotify chart position of any podcast for free.
Podfollow is a service that provides podcasters with social media magic links that redirect listeners to different podcast apps based on the device they use. We also offer a free web-based landing page for desktop users, which is popular with our listeners and receives over 1 million link clicks each month.
Podcast chart tracking was a popular feature offered by Spotify's Chartable, but the service is shutting down today.
“Podfollow was created to solve the problem of providing an easy way to link to podcasts and episodes on social media,” said co-founder David Madelin. “Since Spotify announced the closure of Chartable, many people have started using Podfollow to easily link to their shows, and we have received many inquiries about displaying chart positions.
“It made sense to build a free, easy-to-use service that would allow podcasters to see how their shows and competitors rank in the charts.”
The new service will launch with charts in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with plans to expand to include more countries. Users can see the chart position for the past 30 days.
