The Prison Radio Association is launching the latest series of new holds or folds, an intense podcast that explores the devastating impact of gambling in question.
The new series, hosted by Gambleaware, is announced by Ben Jones and Steve Gerling. Both have experiences of gambling addiction and imprisonment.
Through conversations, personal testimony and expert insight, the podcast aims to dismantle the stigma surrounding gambling disorders and raise awareness of their widespread outcomes. They also aim to become a resource that provides expert advice, support and service signs.
Each episode explores the science behind gambling disorders and the impact of gambling harm on individuals, families and communities.
Including inspirational stories, Hold or Fold highlighted the experiences of people suffering from gambling addiction, struck the rock bottom and fought the path to recovery.
The new series will share comedian John Robbins' personal battle with gambling, its effects, and his addiction, recovery and advice for those struggling.
Other episodes cover practical strategies to manage women and gambling, impact on loved ones, gambling among young people, cravings and addiction recovery.

Originally released as a radio series on National Prison Radio, Hold or Fold is heard by 47% of people in prisons in England and Wales.
Now, funded by Gambleaware, it is being released as a podcast to the greater public, bringing life-changing content to a larger audience.
Ben and Steve know firsthand the destructive power of gambling addiction. Ben became obsessed with sports betting during his depression, taking out large loans and stealing money from his employer. He was jailed for three years in 2019 and now works for a major charity supporting people with gambling addictions, using his experience to help others begin their recovery journey.
Steve's addiction to online gambling escalating to spending up to £50,000 a day, jailed for four years after stealing money from his employer. Now he runs an aftercare program to help others recover from rebuild their lives.
