England may have had a bleak start to Euro 2024 but for the team's former captain, Gary Lineker, the tournament was far from disappointing.
BBC pundits have earned more than £125,000 for their podcast, The Rest is Football, since England's first match against Serbia, according to The Times' analysis of broadcast performance statistics and industry advertising rates.
Downloads of the show, which also features former footballers Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, have risen since Lineker and his co-stars criticised Gareth Southgate's team.
During the BBC's coverage of England's 1-1 draw with Denmark last week, Lineker was scathing about his team's performance, and then further criticised it in a podcast the following day.
