Award-winning SVOD content platform History Hit is rebranding and refreshing its flagship podcast, “Dan Snow's History Hit.”
Already attracting more than 3 million monthly listens, the revamped podcast aims to further engage with loyal subscribers and attract new audiences.
Based on listener behavior data, the podcast has been redesigned and the publishing schedule updated to give listeners more time to immerse themselves in each episode and allow Dan Snow to delve deeper into listeners' favorite historical topics.
Three new shows will be released each week, with episodes released on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Steve Lanham, Head of Podcasts at History Hit, said: “We're always listening to and learning from our listeners, and with this relaunch we're focused on aligning episodes with the best times for listeners. We're committed to bringing you even more of the stories our audience loves, with even better storytelling and deeper analysis.”
Dan Snow, founder and creative director of History Hit and podcast host, added: “We've listened to our fans and are thrilled to bring you this new podcast experience. Whether we're exploring ancient tombs or explaining the historical context of today's news, our goal is to make history accessible, fascinating and relevant to everyone.”
In addition to Dan Snow's History Hit, the History Hit network produces a variety of popular podcasts including The Ancients, Gone Medieval, Not Just the Tudors, Betwixt the Sheets, American History Hit and After Dark.
With over 8 million views per month across its eight shows, History Hit offers 16 episodes of history content every week.
This news follows the recent announcement that Ubisoft's podcast “Echoes of History” will be returning on the History Hit network.
History Hit was acquired in 2020 by award-winning content studio and digital media network Little Dot Studios (a subsidiary of All3Media).
