The new BBC Learning English PodCast will meet local musicians throughout the UK, listen to them with their original songs, and learn language.
The five -part weekly pod cast series, My Song and My Home, is a music tour that helps learners who are listening and understanding English in the UK to practice. From the beach of Cornwall to the Leeds Canal, stop at the BBC Broadcasting House balcony in London
Each episode takes the listeners to another place, meets a non -signed musician, hears their stories, and plays original songs in important places for them.
Learners can listen to audio podcasts because the program presenter describes language and lyrics. You can also watch music performance on the BBC Learning English website, see musicians, hometown, and learn lyrics for each song.
Online support materials include complete interviews, lyrics, glossaries, and worksheets.
BBC Learning English Editor, Paul Scott, commented: “Songs can help all language learners to develop the skills needed. It fosters vocabulary, understanding grammar, making it easier to learn words and phrases, and in a very simple way, they are very simple. You can enjoy learning and fun.

Episode 1 -St. Ives Bailey
I traveled to the beach of Cornwall and met Bailey, who grew up in the open microphone knight, an artistic town of St. Evesbes. Bailey talks about her ambitions and plays her song “Cobalt Blue” in the sea.
Episode 2 -Josh in London
Josh, who moved to the capital to continue his career in the bus -king, explains what a backer is in the BBC broadcasting house balcony and plays the side of the wall.
Episode 3 -Liverpool grace

Episode 4 -Alice of Leeds
Alice moved to Leeds to pursue a music career. She explains why Leed's hidden jewelry and plays her song on the canal in the center of the city.
Episode 5 -Adam of Ips Witch
The center of Ips Witch -Popstar Ed Sheeran -Buscar Adam, who became the home of the buscar, urged him to make him a full -time musician, and his song “Missing Chemicals” at Townhole Share the method of playing.
